Complaints procedure

  1. You are dissatisfied with your care.
  2. You discuss your complaints with your healthcare provider.
  3. You come to a solution together. You can release your complaint.
  4. You are not satisfied. You report your complaint to the independent complaints officer of the healthcare provider.
  5. The complaints officer provides advice and assists you with regard to submitting a complaint and mediates in arriving at a solution.
  6. You report your complaint in writing to the healthcare provider. You will receive a judgment within 6 weeks. If necessary, the period can be extended by 4 weeks. The healthcare provider will inform you about this.
  7. You are not satisfied with the judgment. You must report your complaint to the arbitration body Zorggeschil or to the arbitration body of the health care provider. The complaint fee is € 50. www.zorggeschil.nl
  8. Zorggeschil makes a binding decision. You can be ordered to a maximum contribution of € 500 to the costs of the proceedings. Zorggeschil can grant you a personal injury compensation of up to € 25,000.
  9. You are satisfied with the verdict. You can release your complaint.
  10. You are not satisfied with the verdict. You can submit a request for annulment to the Subdistrict Court within two months of the ruling.
