About Liesbeth

Background

Because of my Chinese-Indonesian father, who kept his acupuncture practice to home, I am very familiar with Eastern tradition. The full waiting room with satisfied clients, who came from far and wide, and his treatment room, with his collection of turtles, have always stayed with me. Many years later I started to do the same.

Work experience

First I obtained my physiotherapy diploma in 1996 and gained years of work experience in various physiotherapy practices. In addition I studied ´Acupuncture and Chinese Materia Medica / Patented Formulae’ at the Shenzhou Open University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Amsterdam. Since 2008 I started full-time working as an acupuncturist in the “Praktijken Acupunctuur Hoofddorp, Badhoevedorp en Nieuw-Vennep”. After that since 2013 in Amsterdam and since 2023 in Amstelveen. I am a member of the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Acupunctuur (NVA) and I have been a member of the Nederlandse Toyohari Vereniging (NTV) for Japanese acupuncture. I am working in particular with the Japanese acupuncture in the style of Kiiko Matsumoto. I still follow KiiKo Matsumoto’s lessons and of course also further education.
